| In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Dear Sheikh Muhammad Muta! Dear Scholars! Dear politicians and safety committee! Dear tribe leaders! Dear guests coming from inside and outside of Syria! Dear sisters and brothers! I’m greeting all of you, may peace and mercy of Allah be upon you. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Final consequence is for people of taqwa. The most superior salat and the most perfect salam be upon our truthful and trustworthy Prophet Muhammad, His pure Ahl al-Bayt and all His very honest and fighter companions! May peace be upon the person that we are enlivening his memory today! Peace be upon Sheikh Muhammad, his father Sheikh Izzeddin and this blessed and pure Haznavi silsilah! Peace be upon religious people! Peace be upon righteous people! One year passed from now, but this year isn’t like the previous years. In this year we lost a sheikh, inviter, teacher and guidance directing towards Allah. In this year we lost Sheikh Muhammad. However, one year ago we were together with him and near him. We were benefiting from his face. We were drinking the way going to Allah from the corner of his eyes. It is because our Lord says: “ In the case of those who say, Our Lord is Allah, and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): Fear ye not! (they suggest), Nor grieve! But receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised! We are your protectors in this life and in the Hereafter: therein shall ye have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall ye have all that ye ask for!” We were seeing sainthood on him. As a result of this we were able to drink the way going to Allah from the corner of his eyes, and his pure and beautiful face; because this way is the way of happiness; because this way is the way of release; because this way is the way of victory; because this way is the way with which Allah is pleased. O! Those who say, Our Lord is Allah, and, further, stand straight and steadfast! It isn’t enough to be Muslims only with our minds and hearts. We must add good deeds and esteemed words to this faith, because it is our beloved Prophet who ordered us adding good deeds and esteemed words to the faith. Whenever Our Lord mentions about faith, He mentions about good deed together with it: “Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds!” Yes! O! My brothers! O! Those who say, Our Lord is Allah, and, further, stand straight and steadfast!… Those who stand straight and steadfast with their thoughts!… Those who stand straight and steadfast with good deeds coming to their hearts!… As you see, uprightness means standing straight and steadfast according to the Shari’a of Our Lord. This is also a very clear and evident shari’a. As our beloved Prophet (peace be upon Him) said: “I have left you a pure white and daylight way. So, even its night is like its daytime. Only those who want to take risk go astray from this way!” That is to say it is clear, wide open and evident. As it is said in Hadith Sheriff: “What lawful for you is evident! What forbidden for you is evident! There are doubtful things between them. Most of the people don’t know them. One who keeps away from doubtful things protects his religion and chastity!” As you see it is uprightness. This uprightness is in your ritual prayer! This uprightness is in your deeds! This uprightness is in your service for your motherland! This uprightness is in your service for the ummah! This uprightness is in desks of school! This uprightness is in the back of your table which is for service to people! This uprightness is in your deeds in the world! This uprightness is in your agriculture, shopping and trade! This uprightness in all fields of life! We can’t distinguish ritual prayer from righteous deeds in social life outside the masjid! My brothers, uprightness is a perfect Islamic life in all fields of the world. O! Those who say, Our Lord is Allah, and, further, stand straight and steadfast! When you take tariqa from your Sheikh and promise him, you will be absolutely asked for this promise. And you are responsible for this promise in the presence of Allah. You don’t take this tariqa for being proud of it! Or you don’t take it for flaunting to the others! You take the tariqa from this Sheikh for standing straight and steadfast on the way of Allah and sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon Him). You take the tariqa for carrying the flambeau of faith, glory, uprightness and help! Because only in this way we can be those who stand straight and steadfast like our Sheikh want us – Sheikh Muhammad also wanted before-. Today Sheikh Muhammad Muta goes on in this way and in this manner. We ask Allah for protecting him, directing him towards the truth, and making him a servant who goes on the way of his father, grand father, and grand grand father walking on the way of faith, self-sacrifice and devotion. We came here not for self-praise and race on the quantity. Our coming is only for the will of Allah. We came here for drinking to repletion from the abundance of our Sheikh Muhammad and taking the tariqa, the light and clear way from his heir and guardian Sheikh Muhammad Muta. Thus, we came here for standing straight and steadfast while we are together with our children, wives, neighbors and citizens. We came here for standing straight and steadfast in all our life, our special times and our houses. Moreover, we came here for being an army who says “we believe in Allah and we stand straight and steadfast” as our Lord wants. If we walk on the way of uprightness, angels descend upon us. Angels descend upon us by bringing peace! Angels descend upon us with grace! Angels descend upon us with evident conquest! Angels descend upon us with abundance that our Lord grants us! Yes! How a beautiful world that angels descend upon us with goodness and abundance and how a beautiful Hereafter that angels descend upon us! If we carry out this uprightness, then we can reach divine mercy of Allah and His grants: Angels descend upon them saying: “Fear not, nor be grieved, and receive good news of the garden which you were promised, because there is safety in the world, and there is heaven in the Hereafter!” O! My brothers! O! You, who have gathered here coming from distant places! This meeting is renovation of your promise which you make with your nafs and Sheikh Muhammad Muta relating to standing straight on the way of invitation to Allah, Islam and Sheikh Muhammad. This meeting is the biggest evidence and first step about our ummah’s devotion to each other. Don’t forget it! Don’t forget its extent! Don’t forget its essence! Don’t forget its base! Don’t forget its origin! As our beloved Prophet said, it is ummah who is bound to each other very tightly like a body. When one of its organ is ill, the whole body participate it with fever and sleeplessness. O! My brothers! This relationship, the relationship of Sheikh Muhammad and Sheikh Izzeddin presents us an ideal for taking a step towards lofty Islam, great faith, service for the sake of our belief and our motherland. It is also a renovation of promise given for standing straight and steadfast with Sheikh Muhammad Muta up to almighty Allah will be pleased with us. |
