In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. I want to speak from my heart to yours. Salat and peace be upon the leader of prophets, the last prophet, our Master Muhammad son of Abdullah, His Ahl-al Bayt and all His companions. May peace be upon all of you! Dear friends, dear brothers and lovers! Likewise, I’m greeting the guests with love coming here from neighbor countries and everywhere and I’m praying Allah for this exalted community whom I see as a single body. Because the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon Him) says: Muslims love each other and they have mercy on each other like a single body. When one of its organs is ill, the other organs share its pain with fever and sleeplessness! As long as Muslims don’t pay any attention to these words of the Prophet, they can never reach release.
We came together here so as to awaken the soul of religion and belief, reinvigorate the values of our morals and believers’ feelings. We came here for 14th memorial ceremony in memory of the late Sheikh Izzeddin and 2nd memorial ceremony in memory of Sheikh Muhammad al-Haznavi whom I loved, esteemed very much and meet so many times. For this reason, I’m offering my condolences to Haznavi family. I’m offering my condolences especially to Sheikh Muhammad Muta al-Haznavi (may Allah protect him) who is great in his friendship, morals, love, heart and beauty. I ask Allah for helping him, protecting him and calling faithful believer hearts together by means of him in the things that almighty Allah wills. Dear friends! We must emphasize on a very important meaning by means of this great, magnificent and lofty meeting because of which we came together here. It is the meaning of “human”! The universe is for him, life is for him, prophets had come for him. Remember the words of almighty Allah “We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man undertook it; he was indeed unjust and foolish.” Our beloved Prophet (may peace be upon Him) also emphasized that point. Therefore, Our Master Muhammad who is the Messenger of Allah and all of your lover (may peace be upon Him) was emphasizing the character of human. Our Master (may peace be upon Him) didn’t take pride in buildings, cars, beautiful properties or other showy things. He was proud of only people, especially His companions when they stood in ranks in the presence of Him and He was giving their certificate. He said: Your expert at judgment is Ali. The most meticulous of you in the subject of religion is Omar. The most affectionate of you is Abu Baqir. The most knowledgeable of you in the subject of which is lawful or forbidden in the religion is Ubeyy. Every society has e safe and trustworthy hand. The safe and trustworthy hand of this society is Abu Ubaydah! In that case, we need to build “human”. O! My friends! “Human” means free human who isn’t enslaved by his lust, property and the worthless things of the world. We will go leaving this life. Sheikh Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him and make his tomb sweet-smelling) went by leaving this life. He took the secret of tariqa and truth together with him. He took the secret of righteous deeds together with him. We ask Allah for all these being accepted by Him. A free human is such a person that he never serves the world slavishly. He only serves almighty Allah slavishly. As long as we don’t bear witness that there is no god except Allah, we can’t be a real believer. Therefore, we say “we bear witness”. “Witness” means “to see”. “Witness” means “to see” “action”, “the truth” and “soul”. So, my dear friends, I will tell you something which is not odd. One day, Mawlana Jalaladdin Rumi, who is buried in Konya now, was seen while he was looking for something by flashlight among people in a sunny day afternoon. Sheikh Mawlana Jalaladdin Rumi was indeed a great man. I want you to read his life story. He was looking for something being lost. People and some of his followers asked him: “O! Mawlana! What are you looking for? What did you lose?” He said: “I’m looking for a person.” They said: “If that’s so, where is this person?” He replied: “He is such a person whose heart is devoted to almighty Allah. All right, do you know the main sign of this person? Dear my friends please give ear! The sign of this person is to get to the heart of Prophet Muhammad’s saying and to be painted with it: “None of you truly believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself!” There is only love in the heart of a Muslim. If there is hatred in his heart, he can’t be a Muslim. Especially if there is egotism in his heart, he can never be a Muslim. -Only “egotism” destroys us. A Muslim always grants. A Muslim is one who loves you; but not for his transitory self-interest! He loves you only for tasawwuf and sufi tariqas. Indeed, tariqas educate us for being those who love each other for almighty Allah’s sake. We can never enter the heaven and almighty Allah never shades us under the shadow of Ninth Heaven, if we aren’t like those about whom our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned in his hadith: “And two men love each other for Allah’s sake. They meet for it and leave for it!” It isn’t important that I love you when you serve my purpose. What really important is to continue loving you even when I disagree with you. If you are faithful in your religion and belief, you love someone even in the moment of disagreement; not just in the moment of agreement! Because a great heart, a Muslim’s heart is like sea; it embraces everything. May it be blessed all of you!.. Your Sheikh Muhammad Muta in whom I see a great heart be blessed to you! I ask almighty Allah for making him devoted to our beloved Prophet’s righteous way (peace be upon him). And I ask Allah for making you devoted to the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) like His companions. May Allah be pleased with all of them. Once more I ask almighty Allah for these beautiful bright faces, relatives and all of us unite together by putting ourselves in Allah’s hand in this beautiful town. I wish to realize this. Whoever trusts in Allah, He is sufficient for him! And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves! Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds! Peace be upon you! |
